CRIMINAL/CIVIL Deputy FULL-TIME Position Opening

Paid Commissioner Court Holidays, accrued Sick leave; and 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of employment

Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm.

Must be able to prioritize daily job functions as they come in.

Criminal/Civil Deputy Clerk Duties
Maintain accurate and up-to-date lists in each case of appointed and hired attorneys for addition to criminal and civil cases, ensuring seamless interaction with the Auditors' office for appointed attorneys and facilitating timely removal upon case completion.
Maintain comprehensive bail bond information for criminal cases, encompassing entry of bail Bond Company, bail amount and type, date bailed, and removal upon case completion.
Enter case information for new cases from the County Attorneys' Office and Sheriff's Department with meticulous attention to detail.
Maintain accurate and timely information prior to court once the docket is set, ensuring effective communication with bail bond companies, attorneys, and county attorneys prior to the court date.
Enter cases from lower court appeals and maintain financial requirements for case filing.
Process payments, verify identity, payment type, and currency, both in-person and over the phone.
Respond promptly and accurately to FBI requests. Retrieve information and payments from EFile, inputting and verifying information prior to saving as new cases or document requests/filings for both criminal and civil cases.
Exercise extreme caution to prevent incorrect information entry on cases, ensuring precision and attention to detail before, during, and after court proceedings while collaborating closely with the Judge, County Attorney's office, Probation, attorneys, sheriff's office, FBI, and CJIS.
Create and maintain physical files for civil cases, working closely with the Judge, Judge's assistant, attorneys, and citizens involved in cases.
Demonstrate polished phone etiquette, efficiently managing phone communications while monitoring and maintaining email requests.
Seek supervisor assistance without hesitation when necessary, demonstrating accountability for time management and teamwork while maintaining confidentiality for non-public information.
Note that additional complex details within each description will be introduced as necessary. Criminal court is held each month, along with the possibility of hearings, and Jury trials. Presence for these proceedings is required of the Criminal/Civil Deputy.
